Art by Alan Blackwell ( shinypants ) . This is an original digital painting by Alan Blackwell. Alan was recommended to us by Anthony Scroggins to help do some Mech pieces that Anthony couldn't. Alan ended up doing 4 pieces for our site so far, and 3 of them are the beautiful team illustrations in the Team Histories section of our site. These are pieces I had been trying to get commissioned for nearly 5 years. I was overjoyed at Alan's dedication and help in achieving such a fantastic result - a full color series of team pieces featuring each team's main characters' Mechs deploying. You can check out Alan's DA page here: [link]
His first piece for us, this one is the mercenary team called The Crusaders. The team is a group of Ex-Knights of the Inner Sphere who were politically maneuvered first out of the Knights and then out of work in the Free Worlds League by the Word of Blake. The Crusaders eventually sought the help of one of their former lancemates, Sir Owen Hardcastle of the Knights of the Inner Sphere. Meeting with him and discussing contract options in the Draconis Combine, The Crusaders eventually entered a partnership with Strider's Strikers.

Thats a Dervish on the far right. You can see the same character's Mech but done by Anthony Scroggins on our site or in his gallery here on Deviant Art. Its retrofitted rather heavily so its look has changed a bit. The background Mech is the new Crusader. Its made closely off the Project Phoenix source images, but we had to imagine some of the back from the miniature. Cheers for looking and especially for the comment!
Thanks a bunch for visiting and glad you like it. The main site is humongous these days so its a bit hard to maintain. Once we get switched over to Dark Age things will be a bit more manageable with half the team dead. We are working with Matt Plog now on the Arbiter's new schematic pic, so hopefully thats one interesting thing coming up for you.

Like all the details here, ships, fighters, the lot.
The vapour trails are an excellent touch!
My advice, check out my folder marked "Commissions" and "Battletech Related" and see how it vibes.
If yer like what you see, then we can sort something out.
Oh and thank you for the nice comment - I always aim for an atmosphere in my works - well try
I'll be watching that space
